Niby wszystko mamy dobrze opisane w plikach, które pobraliśmy z naszego "roomu", jednak gdy chcemy się do tego zabrać, doznajemy pustki w głowie. Zaczynamy się zastanawiać jak zacząć list , jak zaplanować i nagrać video...Bo chcemy, żeby wszystko wyszło jak najlepiej :)
List jak i video dużo się nie różnią z tym, że w liście możemy sobie pozwolić na większą ilość szczegółów i informacji.
W liście opisujemy: siebie , swoją rodzinę, jakie życie prowadzimy, co nas interesuje, jakie mamy plany, dlaczego chcemy zostać aupair, jakie jest nasze doświadczenie z dziećmi i cokolwiek co według was hości powinni wiedzieć.
W filmiku mamy trochę inne priorytety, które powinny być przedstawione w ciągu 3-5 minut.

Dear host family, My name is Ewelina ***** and I come from a city in Poland called Gdynia. I hope you will consider me as your au pair because I love helping people and I have several years of experience of taking care of children in my community. In Poland we consider family very important, and how to raise kids is important too. Kids are most fragile when they are young so we have to be careful about what we do and say around them. I think I was lucky and I like to use my life as an example. I was raised by two loving parents and I have two younger sisters who look up to me as their role model and grandparents who love us all very dearly. Because I am the eldest sister I was always helping my younger sisters with school work and teaching them what's good and what's bad and what they should be careful of. Since I grew up helping my sisters all the time, I also started to help people who I wasn't related to. I grew to love helping people, so now I go out of my way to always be nice and cheerful. When there are people in need I always go out of my way to try and get them something they might need. I'm also not a shy person at all because my sisters were shy around people they didn't know. So I had to show them that there was nothing wrong with opening up and meeting new people and making friends. In fact most of their first friends were the kids I introduced them to. When I was younger I always wanted to be a police officer when I grew up, because in school I learned that the police help people everyday. When I grew up, however, it made me sad to find out that the police aren't respected in Poland because of corruption and abuse of power. I didn't give up after this on my dream though because I wanted to change the police force. I felt that if I could become a police officer and help people then the people would respect police again, not fear them. So I went to college and studied internal security. But before I look for a job I want to travel a bit and learn about another culture besides the one I am used to. I think this would help me a lot when I have a job because it would give me many life experiences that I can use to help me. Being an au pair would be the perfect chance to learn about another culture because I've never been to the US before. I also have experience with caring for children after caring for my sisters our whole lives. I have taken care of my neighbor's kids, my relatives children, and even my mom's boss asked me to watch her kids because she is so busy with work. One of my best friends has a young daughter and I've changed her diapers and bottle fed her. Now she is old enough to walk and every week I take her to the park or beach. My city is next to the sea so there are lots of things to do. She sees me as an older sister and told me she looks forward to the times I come to visit or take care of her which makes me feel very happy. I am very organized and clean my apartment a lot, I never leave dishes in the sink and do my laundry every couple days. I am comfortable living alone and consider myself independent. I hope this short letter was helpful in showing you my life and I want to thank you for taking the time to read it. I hope to see you soon and I would love to take care of your child, so please consider me to be your au pair.

CO ICH INTERESUJE :
- ujęcie gdzie zajmujecie się dziećmi, bawicie na placu czy cokolwiek innego ( w końcu macie się zajmować dziećmi więc miło by było zobaczyć jak sobie z nimi radzicie ) PAMIĘTAJCIE! Nie nagrywajcie mocno wyreżyserowanych scenek z dziećmi, które będą wyglądały poprostu sztywno i sztucznie.
- parę sekund jak prowadzimy samochód - bardzo często wspominane przez rodziców jako element, który ich interesuje
- przedstawienie rodziny (pokażmy, że rodzina jest dla nas ważna), jeśli macie zwierzęta to nie bójcie się tego również ująć w waszym video :)
- poczucie humoru a co najważniejsze: bycie sobą !
- dużo uśmiechu, nikt nie chce pochmurnej AuPair :(
- rodziny wspominają także o scenkach gdzie gotujemy/przygotowujemy posiłek (chociażby kanapki)
- gdy pomagamy dziecku w czymś (np. założyć buciki i kurtkę, odrabiać lekcje)
CO JEST NEGATYWNIE PRZEZ NICH ODBIERANE:
- gdy video jest słabej jakości a w tle gra muzyka zagłuszająca to co mówimy
- nasz angielski na video jest o wiele słabszy niż ten zawarty w liście lub późniejszej rozmowie Skype
- czytanie z kartki ( najgorsze co może być!)
- ujęcia z zakupów z koleżankami, imprez, papierosami, nieprzestrzeganiem przepisów drogowych itp.
- opisywania swojego miasta (możecie wspomnieć z jakiego miasta pochodzicie, tylko nie rozgadujcie się na ten temat przez pół filmu)
- nagrania wyłącznie w domu z rzeczami w tle, które przyciągają ich uwagę bardziej niż wy (jak bałagan, lub różowy pokój z zestawem księżniczki)
